32 Film Directors With Some Serious Bones To Pick

Directors are to films what authors are to books, the primary driving creative force-- At least according to some snooty French critics in the 50's and 60's. While they were likely on to something, directors can range from visionary artist to gun-for-hire just trying to make the day and get everything on their shot list committed to film on time and hopefully under budget… Whatever side of the spectrum they find themselves on, it's very likely that they have some opinions and bones to pick about various points in the filmmaking process. 

Ari Aster, director of Hereditary and Midsommar hates talking about his movies while promoting them. Alfonso Cuaron hates the aforementioned French critics on their opinion on directors. And many more on this list seem to hate the actors they've hired to act in the films that they're making. Filmmaking is serious business, and it seems like directors have a problem with virtually every step of the way.
