Number one is actually my favorite!
ReplyA Google search on "buy tulip" netted only information about flowers, puffy paint, and medication, none of which really make sense in the diagram above. Would someone please explain that one for me?
ReplyThis happened in Europe a couple hundred years ago. I think it was the netherlands. But basically tulips became a huge commodity and people would sell their whole estates to buy bulbs so that they could sell tulips for insanely high prices. Bad idea.
How does human sacrifice cause famine? One of the reasons why they had such sacrifices was to eat the people.
ReplyMaybe they sacrificed the Hunters and Farmers!
You have to admit, that was an awesome hat.
ReplyHow could Napoleon invade his own country
Reply.... Well I guess you could count his return from Elba (100 days) as invading his own country? Kind of...
Is 14 about Hitler or Napoleon? Or just dictators in general? sorry...
Reply9 reminds me of a story(legend) about AP chemistry. What happens when you mix a bunch of bored very smart kids, getting up at 5:30 am or earlier, and borderline unrestricted access to all the schools chemicals? Anyone?
ReplyThe Saw one describes most horror franchises.
ReplyAs an Australian, I have to google the Donner party...
Reply Hide All See All 3 RepliesBugger me. Really?
But the "theoretical Wonka point" part is now hilarious...
I'm a kiwi... had to do the same... Am permanently scarred.
i live in lake tahoe haha.....I'm 20 minutes from that crime scene
It's awesome how close it is to dinner party. They should have known, really.
The tulip one made me laugh out loud. the rest, meh.
ReplyI want a Metallica/Lou reed infographic
Replywow #3 must have taken forever to put together. Brilliant.
ReplyCompare that to ones like number 4. There is a lot of difference in sacrificed time.
Number 4 is funny nevertheless.
19 is dumb. there were numerous problems with alcoholic fathers and husbands beating their children and wives and child alcoholism was running rampant. most people are anti-child/wife beating and that was the mindset at the time. it wasn't a wise decision to completely ban it all together but they probably didn't think people were that dependent on it
Reply Hide All See All 3 RepliesHas someone been letting Prohibition Era Feminists fill their heads with lies about the actual ratio of Wife/Child Beatings to Drunkenness and how much fun it is to pretend you're drunk and beat people, again?
Hate to say it, but guys who beat their wives will often do it sober too...
Yes, that was definitely one of the reasons why they thought it would be a good idea to ban it. Indeed, my grandmother's father and step father were abusive alcoholics during that time. Whether that was the real problem or not is to be debated.
Say what you want, but dog freedom is stating a fact about what people thought then. No reason to jump all over him.
#3 for me. That's pretty much every politician's rulebook.
Reply8 wasn't in the least bit funny. It WAS 100% accurate. Which blows.
Replythe prohibition graphic could be substituted with "war on drugs" 100% lol
ReplyThe person who made #8 apparently has no idea how to make these sorts of charts.
ReplyWhy do you keep posting s**t that's too small to read?
ReplyFacebook reformatting is a historic bad decision?
