20 Features the Next iPhone Should Totally Have

article image

The iPhone 3G is so 24 seconds ago. It's time to start thinking about the future and the next generation of iPhone. What kind of amazing features will it have? Or more importantly, what features will people be bitching about it not having?

We asked you to figure that out, (we're incredibly lazy, you see), and decided to give $50 to our favorite.

That winner is below, but first, the runners-up:

#20.

Congrats, Jazbeck. You win money.

Want in on this?

You'll have another chance. This week's Photoshop contest theme is:

If Websites Had Warning Labels.

We've all had regrettable (or downright scarring) experiences online. Wouldn't it be nice if there could have been a label in plain sight to warn us away? Which sites do you think need them? What would they say?

Post your entries in the forums.

If you'd like to see the entries from this week that didn't make it, see them here. Or check out our look at 20 Everyday Items If They Were Designed for Batman. Or, for pictures too strange to make up, but not to make fun of, check out The Daily Craption Contest.

Got an idea for a future Cracked photoshop contest? Let us know.

Some of these really suck.

17, 3, 19 and 13 (obviously) were the best.

#8 clearly was the best one if you read all the little things that go with it

nice list.. i'd personally put "wingman" at the top of my list.. oh the awkward mornings that app would save....

#17, #13 and #9 are the best.

p.s., what the fuck is up with the invader zim avatar? are you seven, retarrded or a pedophile?

what the hell man, #12 was the same as #20, except 20 was a BTTF reference....
dude, do i even have to explain the correction to the list?

Posted on 7/28/2008 9:21:09 PM

Funniest were the "end call, end person" option and the sarcasm meter.

I'm really disappointed in the some of the choices they judged. Some really weren't that funny, other ones I saw on the forum that didn't make it on the list were a lot more original. Just my opinion.

i must protest for the lack of tricorder references (some scan functions came close).
unfortunately, i suck at photoshop, but i thought that at least someone will get the obvious star trek related ideas :))

There were some great pieces there, however i don't think 1, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 14 deserved their positions.

#20 is supposed to be the flux capaciter(sp?) from Back to the Future. and the guy went back in time because there is a dinosaur behind him.

Posted on 7/25/2008 7:01:53 PM

I don't get #20.

Posted on 7/25/2008 5:53:23 PM

Obefiend, think Terminator and the guy made of mercury (or something similar)

Posted on 7/25/2008 10:25:54 AM

Obefiend, it's a self repairing iphone

Posted on 7/25/2008 8:42:28 AM

can someone explain #2 for me.. explosion? huh?

God put hair on your balls for a reason. And that itchy soreness you get after shaving them is just his way of punishing you for undoing all of that hard work to put hair on your balls.

Drekafluga, i see it as the sarcasm detector is still running, so I read the whole statement as being sarcastic. The detector should say complete, and possibly have the correct spelling. Since the Firefox spellchecker showed me that dectector was wrong and should be spelled detector.

Posted on 7/25/2008 5:39:16 AM

Yup. My vote would be Stevesteam™ as well. Ert þú annars íslensk? =)

Posted on 7/25/2008 4:19:27 AM

If the iPhone was flux capacitor compatible, would it run on plutonium, garbage, or steam? My proposal is that we use all the steam that Steve Jobs is blowing out his ass to promote the iPhone.

Posted on 7/25/2008 3:07:51 AM

Sobored, no. There is no remaining sarcasm. That's what's funny about it. To justify the current bar status I'd say that the it continues to load to verify what has already been detected. *sigh*

Posted on 7/25/2008 1:33:10 AM

I'd pay good money for 18..
and also 20.
