It’s easy to think that every comedian is so starved for attention that they’ll get up in front of anyone at any time. That may be true for a few fearless, natural performers, but like most of us, funny folks get the butterflies too. The pressure to perform at the highest level will do that. Whether they trust in their abilities or not, some of the funniest people on the planet know that laughs are not guaranteed. They’re out there on a limb, hoping for the best, and that (as we can all imagine) is pretty nerve-wracking. But they love it enough to power through, and that’s just commendable.
