When Cartoons Pander To Everyone
My prediction for the next big fad is "all of them, combined."
Cody was hired by Nickelodeon to make Twilight: The Cartoon. He did, and then he burned it. Thank him on twitter or blog or facebook or Google.

I'd say at least 20% of the worlds marijuana went into the conceptualization of this cartoon.
ReplyThat's still less than Ren and Stimpy.
I'd have to agree as last night Cody and his band of magical thieving space robot ninja pirates/Cracked columnists broke into my apartment around 4 A.M sporting bongs and stole a fifth of Jaggermeister and several ham and whipped cream sandwiches.
I would watch that, a lot.
ReplyCody always makes me laugh like i've just had a limb amputated.
Replychuckle-worthy. Sadly, I think this really is the way cartoons are going: one huge conglomeration of stuff that shouldn't be together :/

ReplyYou suck, Cody. Get off the site.
ReplySuck one Angus. You're a boner.
what the f**k was the end of that video? you had a good flow, and then just choked at the end.
ReplyHe's trying to make the point that a lot of cartoons aimed at children are used to sell candy and toys. Example: Pokemon, Bakugan, Beyblades, Ben 10 and sequels, even classic cartoons like Thundercats, Transformers and He-Man.
And yes I know that Transformers was a toy before it was a cartoon but then the cartoon was used to sell even more toys creating one huge feed back loop of screaming children and parents shelling out cash.
Where's the jokes!?!?!
ReplyThe only thing that would have made it better is if Chuck Norris was the voice of the main character.
ReplyThe refrain needed repeating. Thas all.
ReplyCody's back to being bad. I guess we couldn't stay in the Twilight Zone forever.
ReplyWord.
I know this is really a one shot joke, but I would be so f**king happy if there was more of this.
ReplyI have NO idea wtf I just watched.
ReplyThis video really sucks. Someone earlier complained that many comments aren't constructive. Well, I can't put my finger on what sucked about this; it sucked in every imaginable way.
ReplyWell thank God you're here to set us straight!
Why is the hero a zombie? The hero should be FIGHTING zombies. I guess it's a silly complaint, but the joke doesn't work unless I accept the idea, and I just can't do it.
ReplyTwo words. Epic lol. No matter those words shouldn't combine.
ReplyKind of amusing, I guess. Although I wish Cody would stop singing, it makes it too hard for we retarded Brits to understand him.
ReplyBecause nothing is funnier than just repeating a portmanteau over and over! Wow, I would be a HIT if I finally produced my genius brainchild, Werelianshark Samuroctospartan! See, it's funny because it's lots of popular creature figures COMBINED!
Reply Hide All See All 5 RepliesJust because you used the word "portmanteau" doesn't mean you're not also an idiot. The name was literally only said in the video once. You either didn't watch it or you are an angry person for no reason.
The world is *filled* with unreasonable angry people, and many of them seem to post comments here at Cracked...
"That's bulls**t!"
"You didn't like the article, or-?"
"EVERYTHING! I Didn't even like the ad banner at the top, and I'm blaming *that* on the author, too!"
Man, the ad banner at the top DOES suck. WTF Cody?!
Lol you guys. I didn't realize my sarcastic, offhand because-I-felt-like-being-a-dick comment would give so many people a conniption. I apologize that my lack of amusement towards a video on the internet has effected you so profoundly.
Opinions? Subjectivity of a creative media? What are those? Clearly if someone doesn't like something, they're just an unreasonable butthurt troll that cries themself to sleep over the fact that the only thing missing from their Cody voodoo doll is a lock of hair.
@CabaretCarny My point was that your complaint about the video is objectively wrong. You were being sarcastic about how there's nothing funnier than "just repeating a portmanteau over and over." My point is that the portmanteau in question was only said in the video literally once. You clearly had other problems with the video, so whatever. Comedy IS subjective. But the reason you gave in your original comment was not based on subjectivity.
………..wow
ReplyThat was a hell of a thing.
