----- Quotes -----

The "fruit from a car chase fruit stand" entry is maybe my favorite idea for an entry of all time. But the way it was photoshopped, with one single tire track going across the plate full of food, confused half of the people we showed it to. They thought the joke was that a car had driven across the table at the restaurant, which obviously would make no sense.

We're usually pretty lax when it comes to the quality of a shop, we don't disqualify winners because they've done an imperfect job of blending or whatever. But when there is something about the image that makes it hard to get the joke, that's what makes it hard for us to declare it the winner.

Also, remember that the rest of the list outside of the winner is not listed in order of quality. The first one shown (and the "last" runner-up) is, for instance, not our least favorite on the list. It's the one we thought would make the best first impression on the reader, and the one that does the best job of making it clear what the premise is to somebody just browsing the contest who might not be totally clear based on the title.

And before someone points out its not "my invention" you should realise I've been around cracked long enough to know I can just up and Edison that s**t, whilst AuntieMeme dies awesome and alone in her super colliding chamber of rad.

#2 is not only the best image of this Photoplasty, it's the best image of any Photoplasty ever. Not laugh-out-loud funny perhaps, but simple, iconic and memorable. A brilliant symbol for the Cracked website as a whole. How somehow fitting that they missed that, and only made it #2 (#1 being totally forgettable and tedious). That too is somehow a fitting symbol for Cracked.

Same old Cracked. No matter how long I take between visits, when I walk in, it's always "glistening butt gravy".
