Here's the thing. I like to behave badly on the Internet. I get that this is the age of the new transparency, and it's all eventually going to come back to bite me, but in the meantime I'm going to 'shop like there's no tomorrow. Please don't rat me out to my Facebook friends.

----- Quotes -----
The "fruit from a car chase fruit stand" entry is maybe my favorite idea for an entry of all time. But the way it was photoshopped, with one single tire track going across the plate full of food, confused half of the people we showed it to. They thought the joke was that a car had driven across the table at the restaurant, which obviously would make no sense.
We're usually pretty lax when it comes to the quality of a shop, we don't disqualify winners because they've done an imperfect job of blending or whatever. But when there is something about the image that makes it hard to get the joke, that's what makes it hard for us to declare it the winner.
Also, remember that the rest of the list outside of the winner is not listed in order of quality. The first one shown (and the "last" runner-up) is, for instance, not our least favorite on the list. It's the one we thought would make the best first impression on the reader, and the one that does the best job of making it clear what the premise is to somebody just browsing the contest who might not be totally clear based on the title.
