“You learn something new every day"…is a phrase that is made of words. And there are just waayyy too many words. So God invented the Word Of The Day calendar. Wait. Humanity invented the Word Of The Day calendar. God invented the Tower of Babel, which made every language a jumbled mess. Cracked then invented (citation needed) the idea that English should borrow from foreign languages. Just another way this website is fixing that ol' geezer-deity's mistakes. 

Everything we write here is words, so learning new ones is good. We play Wordle to keep our brains sharp. We also like learning about words' weird origins.
