How Has Andy Dick Already Been Arrested Again?

Andy Dick was arrested this morning in California — no, this is not a repost.

Little more than three months ago, Dick was sentenced to 90 days in jail and ordered to register as a sex offender after being convicted of sexual battery stemming from an incident in April 2018. Barely 90 days and change later, sheriff’s deputies in Lake Elsinore, California have arrested Dick and added two new charges to his rap sheet — public intoxication and failing to register as a sex offender.

TMZ reported that law enforcement in the Southern Californian city received a call about an intoxicated person, and when they arrived on the scene, they found a stumbling Dick, who they discovered was not up-to-date on his sex-offender registration. He was arrested without incident and is currently being held in a detention center.

We don’t know what’s more exasperating: the constant repetition of bad behavior from the once-talented comic, or the perpetual opportunities for recidivism that the justice system has afforded the comedian, convicted sex offender, alleged burglar and serial batterer — we couldn’t even get through one winter without Dick getting himself in trouble again for the umpteenth time. At this point, there’s probably a whiteboard in the TMZ offices that reads “‘0’ Days Since Andy Dick Has Been Arrested.”
