The Lifespan of Every TV Show Ever [COMIC]
Winston Rowntree is the author of Subnormality, the popular webcomic which he describes as containing "weird characters, endless opinions and occasionally huge walls of text."
Today, he shows you the set schedule every TV series follows when going to shit.

Check out past updates, in which Winston showed you The Truth Behind Obnoxious Assholes with 4 Pie Charts, Bono as a Superhero, Why Marriage Is Evil, The Mineral States of Man and Every Album Ever or weeks before when he showed you The Circle of Life for Jocks and Nerds, How To Win At Panhandling and How NOT to Get Revenge on Your Ex.

How do you fit Stargate SG-1 into this?
ReplyThere is an exception to this though. Doctor Who has been running since 1963 (of course, it was cancelled between 1989-2005) and has had over TWENTY-SIX seasons and I wouldn't call it "undead".
Replybut in general, yeah it's very accurate!
Replyin the case of Buffy the Vampire Slayer though, the Downward spiral was caused by the main actress deciding to leave the show which forced the writers to cram 2 seasons worth of material in 22 episodes -_-.
ReplyLOL @ people debating this like it's a scientific theory and people who think South Park is still funny
Reply*sigh* this is starting to happen to How I Met Your Mother. . .NOOOOOOOO!
ReplySouth park is still good though.
ReplyI reckon Scrubs is a textbook example of this theory....
ReplyThis is how I feel about "The Simpsons".
ReplyPeople have grown up and had their own kids, who are now teenagers, in the amount of time that show's been on the air with NEW EPISODES. x_x;;;;;
lol That 70s Show
ReplyHoly s**t, this is 24...
ReplyI would have killed for 5 or 6 seasons of Arrested Development...
ReplyThe simpsons first 9 or 10 seasons were basically perfect
ReplyXD guy started a little flame war with everyone talking about any show with more than 7 seasons.
ReplyBig Bang Theory, anyone?
ReplyNah, that sucked since the beginning.
'Zinga!
In other words The Simpsons.
ReplyThis.
Sadly Supernatural is starting to feel this way...boo :*(
ReplyFrasier was pretty funny for all 11+ season though, just watched it all back to back over a couple of months and I loved it tell the end!
It allways sucked to me
Gargoyles did it in 3 seasons. The 1st 2 were awesome, but season 3 (The Goliath Chronicles) was a complete let down. Except for the 1st episode there wasn't a good one all season
ReplyDoctor Who doesn't follow this...
Reply Hide All See All 5 RepliesAlmost 50 years and still as strong as ever. :D (Though those people who refuse to accept progress and thus shun the new series can think what they want, it's still pure awesome)
Darn someone beat me to mentioning Doctor Who
Dr Who was never once good even for a minute so it doesn't count
Well, to be fair, it probably does. Just not in order. Or logic. Wibbly Wobbley, timey wimey...
Ahh, but the main two characters...the Doctor and whatever chick he brings along with them...switch actors/positions every now and again. :) It's a perfect way to keep the show fresh!
DEGRASSI.
