Could You Please Not Sell Bacon Sandwiches Made From Cartoon Pigs, Asks Parents

On today's installment of truly visionary ideas in advertising, a Scottish cafe has given whoever dreamt up the infamous Kendall Jenner Pepsi commercial a run for their money, promoting a bacon sandwich by juxtaposing the pork offering alongside a chalk drawing of children's cartoon character, Peppa Pig.

Features a sketch of the animated pig (which may or may not exist as an apparent act of revenge by the British for the Revolutionary War) and a cartoon cow from another children's show, The Magic Roundabout, being “added” to slices of bread in an equation that apparently equals a smiley face in a move that singlehandedly pissed off three groups of people you don't ever want to mess with – small children, parents, and online vegans.

"Even if you are not vegan or vegetarian that could be really upsetting," one angry parent said of the offending, sandwich-peddling advertisement according to EdinburghLive. "My kids would be absolutely traumatized if they saw that sign, it's really not funny."

“That is horrid,” another viewer added. “Every kids would be upset by this - like come on cartoon animals! Animals is bad enough without ruining the kid's find too! But munches!"

However, it seems vegans were also upset, but for very different reasons. “That’s going to make a lot of children question food. I support that but damn this is pretty sick." Nothing like childhood trauma in the form of a butchered cartoon charcters to help youngsters question the practices of factory farming!
