Thor: Love and Thunder 'Shouldn’t Make Sense' says Taika Waititi of His 'Craziest' Film Yet

Ahhh, Thor: Love and Thunder. A Hemsworth-tastic MCU sequel filled with action, Marvel characters, and a plot that “shouldn’t make sense?” Yep, with less than a year to go until we bear witness to the wonderful misadventures of the beloved Avenger, director Taika Waititi has blessed us all with one fascinating tidbit regarding the highly-anticipated phase 4 flick – it apparently makes no f------ sense.

“If you wrote down all the elements of this film, it shouldn’t make sense,” Waititi told Empire earlier this month. “It’s almost like it shouldn’t be made. If you walked into a room and said, ‘I want this and this and this.’ Who’s in it? These people. What are you going to call it? Love And Thunder. I mean, you’d never work again. Maybe I won’t after this," he continued. 

While as the outlet noted, the film's plot has miraculously remained pretty clandestine sans THOR 2 SPOILER ALERT – the return of our favorite Asgardian theater troupe, hair metal Thor, and a variety of celebrity cameos, including Natalie Portman reprising her role as Jane Foster and Christian Bale taking the screen as Gorr The God Butcher – one thing is certain, the movie will be a stark a departure from its original installment. 

"It’s very different from Ragnarok,” the director explained. “It’s crazier. I’ll tell you what’s different. There’ll be far more emotion in this film. And a lot more love. And a lot more thunder. And a lot more Thor, if you’ve seen the photos.”

However, this film isn't merely wild by the standards of the MCU – Thor: Love and Thunder is apparently so batshit, it ranks number one on the insanity scale for the director who once famously graced the silver screen as Adolf Hitler. “Well, just between (me and) you and the readers, I’ve done some crazy shit in my life," Waititi reflected." I’ve lived, like, ten lifetimes. But it’s the craziest film I’ve ever done."
