20 Awe-Inspiring Facts About Steven Spielberg Movies
Steven Spielberg is an absolute treasure. The man has directed every single movie we love: timeless classics like 1941, Always, War Horse, Bridge of Spies, and Ready Player One. Oh, Ready Player One, what would the art of cinema be without your ground-breaking, boundless imagination? Spielberg has pretty much woven the fabric of our contemporary culture, even if he also resists its progress (some say, hypocritically), and even if he has annoyed his own collaborators. These issues might just be the cost of genius, of the fact we wouldn’t have the insane number of classic Spielberg films he’s provided us with if he weren’t also an idea-driven, visionary artist. And he is. He is such a visionary that even his earliest movies are still being ripped off.
In this context, this week not only are we celebrating a decent Jurassic threequel finally coming to theaters (well, possibly, we hope – we still haven’t forgiven you for abandoning us back in 2001, Steven). We’re also adding a bunch of awesome new facts about his movies, because there is no way a filmmaker could work with the finest artists around the world and make some of the most important movies of the last 50 years without these movies also containing fascinating Easter eggs and behind-the-scenes facts. Plus, he got all mushy watching the gang getting together again in Jurassic World: Dominion, so that just makes us mushy as well. In all seriousness now: Steven Spielberg is an absolute treasure, and we’re happy to provide you with a new batch of facts to acknowledge this once again.
