15 Hollywood Bigwigs Who Are Sick of Marvel, Too

In the past 15 years, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has pumped out 30 movies (with 12 currently in various stages of production), and has completely changed the filmmaking industry for the foreseeable future. The now multi-billion dollar worldwide phenomenon seems to have split Hollywood into three camps. Those who are in the MCU, those who are desperately trying to claw their way in, and those who pray for its demise.

As we’ve seen with other franchises, once Hollywood stumbles upon a winner, they put all their eggs in that basket. It’s how they make the big bucks, baby. This isn’t the first time they’ve scrambled to capitalize on a trend, but has it gone too far? This isn’t a 4th installment of The Matrix, or Indiana Jones… We’re talking about dozens of movies here. That kind of mass production would make McDonald’s proud, but “real” filmmakers have a bone to pick. These 15 Hollywood darlings are far from thrilled with the MCU, and they were more than thrilled to speak their minds.
