Morbius the Living Vampire is a creation from the times before we knew what DVDs and Lord of the Rings were. A broken time. Morbius made his introduction attacking and then helping out a many-limbed Spider-Man, but he made his biggest impression in the television series, in which to avoid being an overt vampire, he stole life energy out of suckers on his hands like some cousin of the Pale Man. 

This character now has a movie and many have seen it, and some more will see it later. But why? It’s not because hit star Jared Leto is playing a vampire in the most predictable turn he’s ever had in a movie — it’s because the film is a comic book movie about a weird Spider-Man villain who maybe eats people.

The critically viewed film Morbius is filled with darkness, atmosphere, and more Easter eggs than you can count because they already removed some of them. Morbius? More like more beer is what we need to sit through this awful movie — which is the exact type of witty humor you can expect to find in the hit not-in-the-MCU movie Morbius. In theaters now, but only because a direct-to-digital looks too weak.
