He's one of the most iconic and influential creators in the industry, and his work on Spider-Man, X-Men, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Panther, and so many more is celebrated by millions around the world. But lately, it seems like Stan Lee is trying to rewrite history. In a series of recent interviews, he's been making some pretty outrageous claims that just don't add up. Let's take a closer look at what he's saying and set the record straight once and for all.

By most accounts, Stan Lee wasn't a bad guy. But a new biography, True Believer: The Rise and Fall of Stan Lee, makes it clear Stan wasn’t above stretching the truth -- especially when it came to claiming credit for nearly everything in the Marvel Universe.
