The Marvel Cinematic Universe is the biggest success story in movies of the 21st century. It’s made household names out of second-tier characters, made once-obscure ideas like multiverses part of the general lexicon and generated an insane amount of money. And it’s growing — complicated deals, mergers and arrangements mean that movies that weren’t previously in it now are, somehow. It’s all fairly baffling while entertaining millions of people.
But despite the occasional f-bomb — mostly cut off mid-word — and a few characters hooking up here and there, the MCU has largely avoided showing the intricacies of, say, how boners are affected by time travel. Whether a deliberate decision by them or a mere oversight, they seem in no hurry to answer these extremely important questions.
