Turning Point USA Calls Jimmy Kimmel An ‘Unrepentant Liar’ for Not Apologizing During Last Night’s Monologue

Turning Point USA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet believes any tears Jimmy Kimmel shed last night were of the crocodile variety.

The Charlie Kirk Show producer slammed Kimmel as an “unrepentant liar” in a series of Twitter posts after the show’s return to air on Tuesday night. According to Kolvet, Kimmel’s address, which included calls for unity and tearful praise of the late Kirk’s widow, was “not good enough” without a formal apology for his comments.

“Yes, Jimmy got emotional. So what,” Kolvet tweeted. “He was emotional for himself because he almost torched his entire career.”

Kolvet then cited Kimmel’s monologue as proof that the host “would rather advance his own political and cultural agenda than confront the truth,” and insisted that the ABC star offer a formal apology. “It’s critical that liars admit they lied. There can be no restoration without that,” he continued. “Anything short of that is a fake and scripted cry line designed to endear him to his fans, not to make right the wrong he committed.”

Although Kimmel failed to offer a Kolvet-approved apology, he did extend an olive branch to those hurt by his comments. “I understand that to some that felt either ill-timed or unclear or maybe both,” Kimmel explained. “If the situation was reversed, there’s a good chance I’d have felt the same way. I don’t think the murderer who shot Charlie Kirk represents anyone. This was a sick person who believed violence was a solution, and it isn’t — ever.”
