Cousin Greg Is Phoebe and Other ‘Friends’/‘Succession’ Doppelgängers, According to Sarah Snook

Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon is all about the thought experiment. When Sarah Snook showed up this week to promote the final season of her HBO blockbuster, Fallon posed the question: If the cast of Friends was like the cast of Succession, who would be who?

It didn’t take long for Snook to draw the first comparison: “I mean, I feel like Greg is going to be Phoebe, right?”

Sure, we can see it. Next up, she decided, Kendall is Ross. “Why?” asked Fallon. 

“He’s sad,” explained Snook in her distinctive Aussie accent. “Like, serious sad face.”

Shiv is Monica, concluded Snook, “because she’s got her (bleep) together.”

Chandler, of course, is Roman. Joey “How you doin’?” Tribbiani is Tom “God, I want to dock myself inside you right now” Wambsgans.

Perhaps the most surprising doppelgänger of all, according to Snook? “Logan is Rachel.” Fallon didn’t get the comparison until Snook explained that they’re the characters the world revolves around.

As for the final season of Succession, the one that premieres this weekend? Snook isn’t giving much away, teasing that it’s The One Where There Are Big Hugs All Around. We’re pretty sure those arms around the back will be holding sharp knives.
