Someone Edited the AMC Intro to Make Nicole Kidman Watch the Diarrhea Scene From ‘Dumb and Dumber’

Every time we sat down in an AMC theater in the last two years, we have been forced to listen to Nicole Kidman deliver the overdriven-overwrought intro monologue that the theater chain thought would be the perfect greeting for an audience who was returning to the movies following a long, pandemic-fueled absence.

The saccharine soliloquy has been satirized on Saturday Night Live and slandered across the internet since it was first introduced, but, for our money, the best rip on the ridiculous monologue has come from YouTube user Ted Evans VO, whose masterpiece, “the Nicole Kidman AMC promo but she's watching the shitting scene from Dumb and Dumber,” has been giving us giggle fits all day. Without any more of a long-winded, histrionic introduction, here is Kidman smiling vacantly at Jeff Daniels pooping his guts out in Dumb and Dumber.
