26 Trivia Nuggets From Pop Culture History About TV For Monday, December 15, 2025

A mini fact-break for when the remote decides to play hide-and-seek... again.

Remote controls have a whole will of their own. Mine does a whole disappearing routine every single day. It somehow knows exactly when I will need to turn the TV on, and then it just seemingly slips into another dimension. I say that because I never find it anywhere weird; it's always in the same few spots: on the table, in between the couch cushions, under the couch, or on the kitchen island. Yet somehow, it doesn't appear until after I've thoroughly checked each place multiple times. I know I'm not the only one this happens to, either.

So, instead of driving yourself crazy looking in the same spots for your tricksy remote, take a little break and scroll through these TV facts. Your remote will pop back into existence faster if you don't acknowledge that its missing, I think.
