Adam Sandler Is Now A Certified Belieber

Never say never?

Adam Sandler isn’t afraid of smashing stereotypes. Over the past few years alone, he’s proven that basketball shorts can always be bigger, that Rob Schneider is still somehow employable, and most recently, that some of Justin Bieber’s most rabid superfans are actually middle-aged men.

Sandler’s status as the new face of older Beliebers began on Sunday, when Bieber, fresh off the release of Swag II, a deluxe re-issue of his recent album Swag, headed to Twitter with a recent endorsement from the Billy Madison star.

In a clip from the Happy Gilmore 2 press tour, Sandler took a moment to give Bieber his flowers. The comedian told MTV just how much he “loved” Swag, revealing that he was so taken with the work, he reached out to the musician after hearing only a handful of the album’s songs.

“I actually texted the Biebs,” Sandler remembered of his first listen. “The last text I sent him was the other day. I go, ‘I’m on track four. I’m loving it.’ It’s cool as shit. It’s fresh as hell, too.”

Sandler, apparently possessed by the spirit of a slang thesaurus, wasn’t just swayed by the singer’s Swag. He also offered a glowing review of Bieber’s surprisingly good golf game, recalling how he was pleasantly surprised after seeing Bieber take the green.

“I know Bieber’s great at golf. I played with Bieber, he’s good,” the comedian spilled, taking time to compliment Bieber’s impressively “smooth swing.” “He’s a great athlete, that kid.”

Though Sandler is far from Bieber’s typical teen girl demographic, as the Biebs once famously said, “Never say never.”
