Weird Al Made $8 Million on His Latest Tour

No one delights live audiences quite like the famed parodist

As Alfred Matthew Yankovic can attest, it very much pays to be weird.

According to Billboard’s Boxscore report, the “Eat It” artist grossed roughly $8.4 million from his Bigger & Weirder Tour in July alone — and he still has 15 stops left.

Weird Al’s dates in places like Toronto, Philadelphia, and most notably, New York City, where he sold out Madison Square Garden, helped him move a total of 140,000 tickets. His MSG show managed to bring in $1 million alone, cementing Weird Al not only among the top 100 highest-earning artists of the month, but as July’s top-earning comedy performer.

The “White & Nerdy” singer beat out Dude Perfect and Matt Rife by margins of millions. His closest competition was Nate Bargatze, whose $5.1 million in earnings was still $3.3 million shy of Weird Al’s numbers.

Despite these chart-topping stats, Billboard took care to note that Weird Al, like all of us, is still no Beyoncé. By comparison, the “Flawless” singer took the top spot among the month’s highest-earning performers. Her recently wrapped Cowboy Carter Tour grossed an eye-popping $102 million across 32 stadium performances in nine cities around the U.S. and Europe.

Unlike Weird Al’s songbook, those numbers are no joke.
