12 Dark (Concealed) Realities Of Reality TV Shows

As many of you already knew or assumed, reality television is rarely real at all. The premises, the auditions, the set-up, nearly everything is predetermined or is bent so that the producers can get the reactions they want out of the talent. It's all really fake in the end, just as fake as scripted television shows (which come to think of it, there are actually writers for reality TV, too). This is all known for the most part.

What isn't well-known is how dark and seedy several reality TV productions can be. It's more than just basic crappy treatment that is sadly expected on a lot of sets. Some of these reality shows have ended careers, caused trauma, and inflicted injury on some participants. Others shows have even ended with the deaths of nearby bystanders, production crew, or even the stars.
