It’d be a whole lot easier to just play yourself every time, but low and behold, the writers had a character in mind that was nothing like you. On the bright side, by portraying someone with little to no similarities, you must be a solid actor. But, as these actors learned, that can become more of a slog than they hoped for. They had to bring authenticity to characters that they didn’t always enjoy playing, and that took some serious professionalism.

Fans were none the wiser while watching these now iconic roles, so it’s understandable that they’d be a little disheartened to learn that it wasn’t all roses for the actors playing them. We especially feel for the Twilight fans with Robert Pattinson posters up on their walls. Learning that Robert hated playing that emo vampire would be downright devastating.
