More is always better, right? Alien is maybe one of the greatest movies ever made, so thereby it makes sense that including every single scene that was written or filmed for it would make the movie even better! Unfortunately, that isn't how movies work. The old adage says that a movie is written three times: the first time is a script, the second time is during production, and the third time is in the editing bay. These cuts help shape the tone and pacing of the story, makes sure the good stuff hits as hard and potently as the filmmaker intended. 

…But that doesn't mean it isn't interesting to see what ideas got cut from some of our favorite movies. What do you think? Are we way off base? Would the movies below be significantly better if they left in some of these scenes, or should we be happy with them the way that they are?
