What is the one thing that everyone knows about? The answer: there isn’t just one thing that everyone knows about, but if there was, it would be something pretty big. And by pretty big, we mean songs. Everyone knows songs. We all have them, we all love them, and sometimes they can even make us cry. Songs are ubiquitous in our lives, and they come in a million different shapes and sizes. Whether you’re listening to oldies on the radio or dancing to the latest pop song on your phone, there’s no doubt that music plays a huge role in all of our lives.
Granted, some of these covers are by well-known artists, but still... it got us thinking about how often we see big songs overshadow the original versions. Whether it's an old song that gets a new life thanks to a popular remix or a new song that becomes a hit because of its brilliant cover version, it seems like originals are often left in the dust. So today, Cracked wants to take a look at some of the biggest songs that overshadowed the originals.
