It's hard to take a garbage pile of a movie and make a good sequel. It's even harder to top a great piece of cinema with a sequel. Many people have failed, but we were eager to see what sequels you thought held up. We asked Cracked readers on Facebook, “What's a sequel that was better than the original?” Here are the top answers.

Winter Soldier stands out because it puts the superhero stuff on the back burner and makes what is essentially a thriller/spy movie and pulls it off extremely well.
