‘Kramer Was the Drippiest of All’: ‘Seinfeld’ Style Broken Down By TikTok’s Resident Fashion Professor

Seinfeld was officially ahead of its time in the field of fashion — and we’re not talking about the Bro (or the Manssiere either).

Usually, when TikTok takes note of the outfits and stylings of characters in sitcoms that ended before almost all Gen Z was even born, it’s to derisively mock the digs and get-ups of the old fogeys portrayed in the series — you know, beloved characters who said things like “digs,” “get-ups” and “old fogeys.” Every now and then, some fresh Zoomer will go viral posting a picture of George Wendt on Cheers with the caption, “This is what 33-year-olds looked like in the ‘80s,” followed by a string of suggestive emojis inscrutable to anyone who remembers where they were on 9/11.

Thankfully, there is exactly one sitcom from the 20th century that passes the fit check. According to popular pop-culture fashion professor Xander Torres, Seinfeld’s style is as timeless as its comedy. In a recent viral video, Torres explains how Jerry’s dressed-down look is classic and accessible while George is a fashion-forward pioneer of designer looks, but Kramer, The Assman himself, has the “drippiest” outfits of all of them — all the more reason to keep them out of the pizza oven.
