Alex Baze is a prolific SNL, late-night and awards show writer. According to Seth Meyers and Neal Brennan, he is also the single funniest and most talented punchline composer currently working (or striking) in entertainment. In fact, when Meyers made his leap from head writer at SNL to the hosting gig at Late Night, the list of colleagues whom he hoped to poach was just one single name — Baze. 

Without so much as a Wikipedia page, Baze has spent the last two decades quietly leaving his mark on the most culturally significant comedy events — as the former head writer for SNL’s “Weekend Update” and a mainstay of every awards show or correspondents’ dinner writers’ room, Baze is a “banger a day” joke-writing savant whose work you probably already know and quote.
