Hackers Found The Creepiest Stuff Inside 'LittleBigPlanet'

LittleBigPlanet is Sony's very late answer to N64's smash hit Super Mario 64 in the sense that it was the Playstation's best platformer but also in the sense that it hid a bunch of prime nightmare fuel. It turns out that underneath a through-and-through kid-friendly experience there are various cut assets that would feel right at home in Resident Evil or Silent Hill.

As a refresher, this is what the series is known to look like:

Even people who don't care for this graphical style shouldn't underestimate the skill of a team that managed to make a full roster of non-creepy dolls.

And this is what was found inside an early build of the game.

It looks like a more powerful version of Freddy Krueger who's capable of killing kids via video games.

Nobody knows what the hell that got there, but at least we know that the makers of the game ended up containing it and preventing actual bloodshed leaving that in the game's beta build, but there are various other nightmares that got way farther than that. Look at this fella:

The cow that judges all Kart races in this world, apparently

That lives inside your kid's game and we just gonna assume also spies on them.

Yes, that bleeding-eyed cow shows up when hackers finish one of the game's unused test levels.

And that's not even the worst of the bunch. YouTuber and creepy easter-egg hunter extraordinaire OddHeader discovered a concept art render that features a neat little confederate flag.

Maybe the foreign devs in the very distant country of checks notes England just had no idea.
