'League of Legends' Chat Is Being Removed (And Trash Talk With It)
Starting October 20th, League of Legends players will see roughly a 50% drop in slurs chat, as Riot announced that in patch 11.21, League of Legends will no longer have all chat. That means that at least temporarily, players of their hugely popular MOBA will no longer be able to talk to their enemies.
Riot themselves acknowledged that this is kind of a sad patch, saying, "We know this sucks for those of you who just want to compliment your lane opponent's skin, or ask for a dance party in Baron pit." (Compliment their skin ... Have these devs ever played League of Legends?) It's going to be hard to say goodbye to all chat, and I know I'll habitually say glhf to my teammates now. To send it off in style, here are some times that all chat put the lol in LoL ...
This One Gave Us Paws
“If I win can I leave” is how I always feel in League all chat.
A New Way to Play
RossBoomSocks is a player with a lot of videos in which he tells his opponents what he's going to do and then does it.
Taric, What are You Building?
Honesty is the best policy, Taric. Good for you.
Don’t Remember This Verse…
This pic is from Tribunal, a crowdsourced disciplinary system that’s since been disabled. As ideas go … it was pretty bad. But as a source for content it was unmatched. RIP, Tribunal 2011-2014.
Diana Gets Burned
For those of you who don’t play competitive games online, Bronze is often the lowest tier. For those of you who don’t play League, Zilean is a character who can bring others back from the dead and can also, as you can see in the screenshot, destroy people.

Gotta respect the captain.
And I Woulda Gotten Away With It, Too!
Just like Teemo, all chat is whistling innocently as it walks away from LoL. So long, All chat.
