Even Taylor Swift Is Done With This BS

Taylor Swift used to be known for two things: 1) Having already dated and broken up with your boyfriend. 2) Staying quiet when it came to politics. The latter makes sense as her roots in country and pop has given her a fanbase that stretches across the political spectrum. In an interview with Time magazine, she once said, "I don't talk about politics because it might influence other people. Damn, is that Donald Trump or is that Jake Gyllenhaal because Tay is tearing him to pieces. Imagine her making a tweet like this eight years ago? A publicist would have ripped the keyboard from her hands and thrown it out a window like a ticking bomb about to go off. At the very least, the tweet would have been censored into mush. "Voting? That sure is a thing people do! Or is it? I don't know. I'll have to do more research."

Maybe this is a new evolution of a crafted image, or maybe, like many of us, Taylor Swift is just fed up with bullshit corruption in our government. Either way, I'll take any tweet that isn't another dissection of the Taylor/Kanye feud.
