Remembering Anne Heche: 20 Facts About Her Best and Most Iconic Works
We’re saddened by the death of Anne Heche, yet another flawed but brilliant artist whom the misogynistic entertainment industry treated like trash. You know, like Marilyn Monroe, who was actually smart and talented. Or Sinéad O'Connor, who was right about everything. Or Britney Spears, whose “craziness” came from asphyxiating familiar and media treatment. And yes, yes, “Cracked got all woke again!” sure. But we’re actually siding with South Park on this one, so if anyone disagrees, perhaps they’re not edgy enough for South Park like the cool kids.
As for the cool kids amongst you, then, hey, what’s up. In this Pictofact, we’re not gonna go through Anne Heche’s complex life. For a thoughtful tribute, we really recommend The New Yorker’s piece on her – after your Cracked fix, that is. Instead, our goal is much simpler: To recall some of her best performances, maybe even some lesser known of her works. This is our small, humble homage to the great Anne Heche, just a reminder of the great stuff she appeared on. And if while reading these facts you end up thinking, “hey, maybe I should check out that Catfight movie that everyone says is amazing,” then yes. It is amazing. And yes, you should check it out. That is how we should remember her, after all: as an artist who kicked ass.
