Cheryl Hines Gets Roasted on ‘The View’ Over Her Support for RFK Jr.

It’s pretty bold to get on national television when your husband is gutting the CDC

If my husband either: A) had a brain worm; B) put a dead bear in Central Park as a prank; C) sounded like what happens when you don’t change your engine’s oil; D) was trying to outlaw vaccines; or E) all of the above, you could bet your last dollar I wouldn’t be sitting next to Joy Behar on national television.

But Cheryl Hines and I are very clearly not the same woman. I struggle to even understand how the Cheryl Hines I watched in Curb Your Enthusiasm is the same Cheryl Hines who remains married to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Hines was on The View on Tuesday to defend her husband’s Make American Healthy Again doctrine, which so far has included gutting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, trying to ban essential vaccines for public health and asserting that Tylenol causes autism. Clearly, this isn’t a stellar track record.

Hines, however, is clearly still confident in her husband. She told the ladies at The View, “Bobby’s Background, everything I have seen him do, he has dedicated his career to suing big corporations because of toxins that have been affecting people’s healthcare. People’s health, I should say. So, for instance, Monsanto.”

She continued her defense but was rebutted by Sunny Hostin. “The problem, respectfully, is that your husband is the least qualified Department of Health and Human Services head that we’ve had in history.”

This statement was met by a round of applause. If I had to sit through applause about my husband’s incompetence, I’d stop talking. But again, Hines and I are different women. Instead, Hines doubled down, reiterating that RFK Jr. has spent his life researching toxins.

A tense exchange continued, but almost impressively, Hines committed to defending her husband's exceedingly irresponsible reign as health secretary.

Finally, Behar cut the back and forth short by asking a super casual question: “One thing before you go, so I don’t have to make any jokes about it, does he or does he not have a brain worm?”

“It ate just a little bit of his brain and died. So don’t worry,” Hines responded.

Well, that does make me worry, because the worm clearly ate some of the important parts.
