Naming fictional characters is harder than it looks. You don’t want to go too plain or no one will know which Emily Smith you’re talking about, but you don’t want to get too weird or people will ask which Star Wars you’re talking about. It’s no wonder so many writers just give up and name their “chosen one” character “Neo.”
