If somebody asked you why you decided to watch a certain movie, you'd probably say, “Uhhh, because I thought it’d be good?” and then turn to your friends as if to say, Get a load of this guy. Real movie-watching misunderstander, amirite?

But there’s all kinds of reasons to watch movies with no expectation of quality. Maybe all your friends are going, and you want to hang out with them despite their terrible taste. Maybe it looks bad in a really funny way. Maybe you heard there'd be boobs.

Sometimes, though, a movie you had no hope for ends up being rad as hell. For Redditor Corn-G, it was The Greatest Showman. “To be honest, I didn’t know much about it (going) in, didn’t even know it was a musical, so I was really surprised and happy walking out of that cinema,” they told r/AskReddit. “And I love that the songs have all been released on YouTube with the lyrics and it’s really nicely done, too.”
