Months too late for anyone to care about my comment, but as a self-proclaimed Transformers fan and a child of the 80's I think I should set the record straight here, just in case anyone else stumbles across this article like I did.
Reply Hide All See All 3 RepliesPre-1986 movie with Arcee, the female Transformer that Scott Meyer mentions in his footnote, there were a whole group of female Transformers introduced in the series. Elita-1 (also known as Ariel and was Optimus Prime's "girlfriend"), Moonracer, Chromia, and Firestar, all were introduced in an episode called "The Search for Alpha Trion".
If anyone cares enough to find out more about the actual female Transformers - without using Rule 63 - AND doesn't mind finding information that might truly DESTROY your childhood memories, check out the TF wiki dot net. Wasn't Arcee the Autobot that agreed to be modified because a bunch of, in universe, feminists complained about there being no female Autobots. And didn't the procedure involved drive the poor robot insane, hence Arcee's Ax-crazy bloodlust
I usually really like these, but this is the first one I've not enjoyed at all - but hey, put 10 people in a room, guaranteed at least one of them is a complete a*****e.

ReplyI thought this one was pretty good -comparatively at the very least. I do have an unbridled enthusiasm for cartoon robots and nostalgia, though, so my opinion may be biased. Still. Pretty good. They all seem to be getting a little better.

This was funny, though maybe not the way the author intended. In no logical way could it possibly be seen as childbirth when any tape deck ejects a tape. Even if the tape and player are both transforming robots, the tape deck doesn't give birth to the tapes it plays. They're born at a factory.

Who the hell is Noanybody? And what else does he know? Is it a he-lives-in-the-Himalayas-and-if-I-climb-to-his-house-I-get-three-questions kinda deal? Cause if so I'd like to ask him how babies are made by being ejected from a tape player.
Also, babies are terryfying and childbirth is worse than death.
