One of the most fun (and maybe a little cliche) parts of travel is ticking famous landmarks off our bucket lists. We’ve written about landmarks before, like wild and unknown secrets hidden in famous landmarks and famous tourist attractions with really messed up histories.

A lot of what we imagine about famous landmarks comes directly from pop culture or pretty pictures we've seen in magazines and on postcards. Which is dumb, because those are all perfectly framed and digitally altered to look picturesque for our eager consumption. As any veteran selfie taker will tell you, angles are really everything.
