Sure, it’s no secret at All that politicians often say outrageous things... but, at some point, you do perhaps expect there to be some limits. From global warming denial to false claims about mass shootings, though, it seems like there’s no limit to the outrageousness of some of the things our elected officials say. But it’s not just the outlandishness of their statements that’s so shocking... it’s the fact that, well, these people are kinda supposed to be representing us.

This list takes a look at some of the most outrageous things that have been said by politicians in recent years. From Senator James Inhofe’s amazingly dumb snowball stunt to Congressman Steve King’s comments about castrating slaves (??), these are some of the most ridiculous things our elected officials have said.
