Pfft. Celebrities. They think they can just get away with anything, don’t they? To be fair, we have given them plenty of reason to believe that. All they’ve got to do is text their publicist with instructions to release a statement that they are really sorry or whatever, and they can get right back to drunkenly flying a private jet made entirely out of endangered species somewhere it would take five minutes to drive.
But that only works on people who have had scantily clad posters of you taped up on their bedroom walls since they were 13. Some countries have made it their business to give famous people the business, by which we mean not giving them their business. Sometimes, it’s for boring reasons like technically being a criminal or forgetting weed is not legal everywhere, but it can be anything from wearing the wrong flower to doing a racism.
