Saturday Night Live is one of the most fascinating institutions in comedy. Perpetually under harsh comedic attack with nearly every cast being cast being derided as a decline from the ‘legends’ they replaced, it remains one of the most simultaneously loved and criticized shows ever. Beyond that, it's not only got an incredibly unique format, it has also obviously served as the platform and launch pad for massive comedic talent.
