Saturday Night Live is one of the most fascinating institutions in comedy. Perpetually under harsh comedic attack with nearly every cast being cast being derided as a decline from the ‘legends’ they replaced, it remains one of the most simultaneously loved and criticized shows ever. Beyond that, it's not only got an incredibly unique format, it has also obviously served as the platform and launch pad for massive comedic talent. In fact, Saturday Night Live has played a pivotal role in the careers of so many talented people, there's plenty of them who get lost in the shuffle.

The fact is, SNL has been running for over 40 years, and they've had a ton of people in the cast in that time ... some of whom went on to become major stars, and their SNL tenure got totally forgotten.
