15 Great Movies That Inspired Horrible TV Shows

TV shows are a great way to spend your free time. There are so many different types of TV shows that you can watch, so you're sure to find one that you enjoy. People love watching TV shows because they help them relax and escape from reality. Plus, they're a great way to bond with friends and family. What's your opinion about it? There is something about creating a movie based on a television show that just seems to go wrong more often than not. Sometimes the movie will be good, but the TV show it was based on will be terrible. Or sometimes, the movie will be terrible, and the TV show it was based on will be good.

Regardless, it's always interesting to see how two different forms of art can interpret the same story in such different ways. Westworld, Fargo, Friday Night Lights, insert your favorite example here… There have been some great movie-to-TV remakes over the years. Unfortunately, for various reasons, these 15 TV shows just couldn't capitalize on their movie's success.

Justin Hires and Jon Foo weren't bad in the 2016 TV show, but they're simply not Tucker and Chan. ROBOCOP BE CRACKED COM Three up, three down. Both the 1988 animated show and 1994 live-action series had less violence and gritty realism than the 1987 film, and the live-action series struggled to match the special effects. UNCLE BUCK UES CRACKED.COM John Hughes condemned the idea of the 1990 CBS sitcom. The film made 80 mill and gave us Macauley Culkin, but the show had the parents die in a car accident and lacked John Candy. DIRTY DANCING BE ES 500 CRACKED.COM The first episode of the CBS series 'Dirty Dancing' had strong ratings, because it had only been one year since Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey lit up movie screens. CONAN THE BE BARBARIAN CRACKED COM With hit 90s fantasies like 'Hercules' and 'Xena,' producers decided to reach back to the 1982 movie for a 1997 TV show 'Conan the Adventurer.' POLICE ACADEMY BE CRACKED.COM Because seven 'Police Academy' films weren't enough, producer Paul Maslansky brought it to TV in 1997. DUMB & BE DUMBER CRACKED.COM Dumb and Dumber was a huge hit in 1994, so ABC rushed a cartoon to piggyback off of that success. WORKING GIRL CRACKED.COM The 1988 film was nominated for Best Picture and its lead, Melanie Griffith was nominated for Best Actress.
