Fame and fortune: don't we all want it? To be rich and powerful, to command a room, to have people fawning over us? Sounds wonderful in theory, yes. Unfortunately, it turns out money and power can be corrosive to at best your personal life and at worst your soul. Tabloid press is ruthless, your body and mind and every more are scrutinized to no end. You have an endless entourage, and it's hard to know who is your friend and who is being paid to be your friend. Man, someone should really make a show about that phenomenon. Bet you could get, like, eight seasons and a movie out of it.

But we're getting ahead of ourselves. A lot of celebrities have really specific complaints about fame. Some will seem familiar, some will make you said, and some will surprise you. Like, even Ricky Gervais sometimes regrets becoming a celebrity, if you can believe it.
