47 of the Funniest Tweets from the Week of June 30, 2025

All that day drinking during the early days of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia may not have been for show. In a newly-unearthed Reddit AMA, Rob Mac revealed that much like their Paddy’s Pub counterparts, the cast would sometimes drink on set to get into character during the show’s first couple of seasons.
“Yes. But not often,” Mac explained back in 2013, before promising (and failing) to identify which scenes were fueled by liquid courage. “Earlier seasons more often.”
In addition to The Gang’s penchant for cracking open a cold one, another sitcom revelation resurfaced this week. In Dick Van Dyke’s 2011 memoir, My Lucky Life In and Out of Show Business, the Hollywood icon recalled that Mary Tyler Moore had a full-on meltdown upon reading the script for his eponymous sitcom’s “Never Bathe on Saturday” episode.
In an unusual display of frustration, Moore discovered she’d be off-screen throughout the The Dick Van Dyke Show’s now-classic installment, and “stomped into” Van Dyke’s dressing room and “slammed its fabric door.” The actress eventually reemerged — after chugging a brandy brought to her by Van Dyke’s assistant.
Thankfully, you don’t need any liquor to stomach the hilarious tweets from the last week, the funniest of which include those about “The Reynolds Symbiote,” softbois eating wings and what happens when you give an uncle an edible.
