As we get a little older and gain a little life experience, we start noticing toxic behaviors that we shouldn't tolerate anymore. Because of this, a look back on these movie and TV romances hit us much differently. 

Sure, watching Josie finally get kissed in Never Been Kissed seemed like a heart-warming moment at the time, but it starts dripping with ick when you realize that the guy who kissed her was her teacher who thought she was his high-school student the entire time.

Apologies in advance for all the other romantic bubbles we’re about to burst.

The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Andrew and Allison Club might be the worst romance to ever grace the screen. They have nothing in common, have wildly incompatible personalities, and he only even considers her worthy of affection after she changes her appearance. There is no reason to think they will date after the credits roll. Their whole relationship is the teenage equivalent of quickly finding someone to take home from the bar after a night of drinking. This is ridiculous as she is a strong woman character with badass combat skills and her own distinct personality, yet was relegated to a nonsensical love triangle subplot that exists between herself, the dwarf Kili and Legolas simply because the Hobbit series got extended from two movies to three. Jurassic World

WHY EXACTLY DO CLAIRE AND OWEN END UP TOGETHER? JURASSIC WORLD CRACKED.COM At the beginning of the film we find out Claire and Owen went out on one date, but it was a failure because the two couldn't stand each other. Claire is a control freak and a workaholic, while Owen is the complete opposite. Despite not liking each other one bit, and arguing throughout the film, they still end up together, FOR SOME REASON.

In Seinfeld, George Costanza proposed to Susan Ross, and she said yes. Why would a rich and ambitious lady marry a neurotic idiot with anger issues? CRACKED.COM
