Heres something that’s always bothered us: Why cant every movie be like that old show Pop-Up Video and display fun tidbits about the movie while its playing? We wouldnt care if it distracted us from the plot because, to us, the facts are more interesting than any plot.

Finding Nemo

The engine room scenes in 2009's Star Trek were shot in a brewery. J.J. Abrams wanted a big, open space that was totally unlike the soundstage sets seen in every Trek before that, so they used the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Van Nuys, California - which has 1.7 million square feet of floor area. Barry Sonnenfeld made the decision to set Men in Black in New York City. In the original idea, the movie took place in Lawrence, Kansas; Las Vegas; and Washington D.C.
