15 Guesses As to Which U.S. President Would Come Out on Top in A Boxing Match

Presidential debates are, I think, important to watch, if for no other reason than to try to spot which candidate has less psychopathy behind their eyes. Important absolutely does not mean entertaining, however. In terms of pure base interest, it’s undeniable that more people would tune in to see two presidential hopefuls throw hands in a Waffle House parking lot.

Take this a step further by giving yourself a hypothetical time machine and asking yourself the same question Reddit did: Of all the presidents, in a Tekken-style tournament situation, who would come out on top in a fistfight?

Users submitted their favored names and reasoning, which you can read below. Personally, I think people are underselling William Howard Taft’s ability to knock somebody the fuck out, Butterbean style. Sure, his endurance is lacking, but that doesn’t matter if you’re out cold in the first round.

Зу ago Theodore Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot, but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose Roosevelt
princebagel . 3y ago Is this even a question? Teddy Roosevelt with Abe Lincoln as a close second. They were both boxers, but we all know which of the two can take a bullet.
Superman24601 e 3y ago Boxing tournament? Lincoln, hands down, because he had insane reach and formal experience as a boxer. Honorable mention to Teddy Roosevelt and Andrew Jackson, who would be better suited, respectively, for a no-holds-barred anything- goes fight and a duel with pistols.
Insane_Membranes 3y ago Gerald R Ford is high on the list but it's definitely Ulysses S. Grant. Third would be Nixon, he'd probably follow prison rules.
Зу ago Andrew Jackson. He's a civil war vet who, at 67, beat the shit out of Richard Laurence who tried to assassinate him. The man tried to shoot him with 2 revolvers and both jammed so Jackson smacked him with his cane then proceeded to get on top and beat this guy into a new man. The men escorting Jackson had to pull him off Laurence because they were scared Jackson was going to kill him.
Зу ago Theodore Roosevelt Roosevelt believed that fearlessness was a state of mind. When a man in a saloon pulled two pistols on him, called him Four Eyes and ordered him to buy drinks, Roosevelt gave the armed moron three quick punches to the face.
penguintruth . 3y ago Taft looked like he could absorb some blows.
kingjoey52a . Зу ago Teddy easily. Не had boxers come to the White House to spare with and they complained that the President kept hurting them.
3y ago Edited Зу ago Lincoln or Roosevelt. Teddy looked like a badass Lol, looks like he would be right at home in the UFC. 442 ...
