Bill Maher Compares Luigi Mangione to Jeffrey Dahmer, Osama bin Laden and Diddy

As we mentioned recently, a new musical comedy about Luigi Mangione is premiering in San Francisco next month, presumably catering to those theatergoers who felt that the stage musicals about Raygun and the A.I. Willy Wonka scam just weren’t as sweatily cash-grabby as they could have been.
This news apparently caught the attention of comedian and armchair bacteriologist Bill Maher. Never one to shy away from an excuse to make bad puns that are accompanied by embarrassing Photoshop art, Maher dedicated an entire segment of this week’s episode of Real Time to showcasing some other upcoming musical projects about “bad” people.
“This is not a joke, Luigi Mangione — he is the guy who (allegedly) shot the healthcare executive,” Maher began. “Because as we know, that one healthcare executive is responsible for our entire imperfect healthcare system, so he should get shot in the back. And now he’s a folk hero, Luigi Mangione, he has his own goddamn musical.”
Don't Miss
Maher went on to say that “Broadway has taken notice, and they’ve come up with some other musicals for people you would not think would get a musical.” Some of these fake musicals included “Kanye West’s Side of the Story,” “Osama Mia!” and Diddy in “The Hound of Music.” And the less said about Chris Brown’s “Beat Me in St. Louis” the better.
There was also “Diddler on the Roof starring Jeffrey Epstein,” and not one, but two titles themed around notorious cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer: “Hello, Dahmer!” and “Man of I’ll Munch Ya.” Sure, they could have just picked one, but how could they possibly part with such obvious comic gold?
When Real Time’s YouTube channel posted the video, a number of fans took issue with the bit, because it lumped Mangione in with people like Epstein and Dahmer. Regardless of how you feel about the case, it is undeniable that Mangione’s alleged crime has been driving conversations about healthcare inequality and how we as a society view the value of human life.
And as far as we know, Mangione’s alleged motivations had nothing to do with money, sex or keeping Ziploc bags full of human remains in a freezer for snack purposes.
