In what is certain to shut down Hollywood even further, SAG-AFTRA went on strike this week and will join the writers on the picket line for the second dual strike in history. This happened just days after a Hollywood executive shared with Deadline that the studios’ cartoonishly villainous approach to the writers’ strike is to “allow things to drag on until union members start losing their apartments and losing their houses” before resuming talks in the fall. For their part, as part of the strike, union actors will not be able to film any productions or participate in press junkets or premieres, which means we won’t be seeing anything like Barbenheimer again until an equitable agreement is reached. 

Elsewhere, the war between Zuck and Musk rages on as we patiently await their potential cage match. While the Meta boss was seen looking ripped after training with MMA fighters Israel Adesanya and Alex Volkanovski, the Twitter owner took a different approach. In just another of his many unhinged tweets, Musk proposed “a literal dick measuring contest.”
