Ian McKellen is not a fan of green screens.

No one likes working with green screens, not even Ian McKellen. The renowned actor says that acting in front of green screens during the making of “The Hobbit” was miserable, and he expresses this frustration in his documentary, “McKellen: Playing the Part.” He said that location shooting for  “The Lord of the Rings” was much preferred because there were no green screens used.

And Christian Bale is another big name who isn't a fan of green screen work, especially when it's repetitive. The actor hated working on "Thor: Love and Thunder" for that reason. Of course, all actors go through difficult projects – and, on that note, Jonah Hill is taking proactive steps to ensure his mental health comes first. Recently, the star has been focusing on his mental health by taking a break from the movie promotion circuit entirely. He explained that he suffers from anxiety and sharing his story can help normalize conversations around mental health struggle.
